Join us for our next ALL LEVELS Halloween ride October 29th > Hosted by Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC)
Conjure up your best bike-friendly costume and fastest broomsticks! We are excited to announce our Halloween ride from the brand new Harvey West Park Pump Track, proudly sponsored by Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz, on our next ride, Saturday, October 29!
This ride will be open to ALL LEVELS. Please refer to our Ride Level descriptions to find the group you will be most comfortable riding with.
MBoSC, IMBA and Measure D representatives will be on hand to update us on initiatives impacting our access to mountain biking.
More on Measure D: Want to make the dream of a Coastal Rail Trail a reality? Want to provide safe routes to school for children? Want to build a safe undercrossing for wildlife under Hwy 17? This and more can be ours if Measure D passes. Learn more about what it will do from Land Trust of Santa Cruz County's President, Terry Corwin, who will talk with us on Oct. 29 and will ride with us too!
This ride will also feature an optional skills clinic by coach Abby Hippley. Post-ride, there will be plenty of opportunity to mess around on the awesome new pump track, built under MBoSC’s supervision.
Clif Bar will provide pre-ride fuel while we mingle with our community of female cyclists. Bring your cash, check or credit to sign on as an MBoSC member. We’ll also have post-ride no-host eats by Gary from Snappy Dog and ice cold NuBo beer compliments of MBoSC.
Pump Track Clinic
Local coach Abby Hippely will be offering a 2-hour coaching session focusing on pump track skills, to take place during the scheduled ride time. Those interested should RSVP directly with Abby at www.abbyhippely.com and click on the "contact" link. Cost is $75 per person (cash please), and class size is limited to six.
Abby is a certified personal trainer and mountain bike skills coach with 15 years experience riding and racing at the pro level. She’s done it all, from XC to DH, Enduro and dirt-jumping.
