Next Ride: June 6th with Epicenter Cycling at their Aptos Location
Join us for this amazing merger of Girls Rock and Epicenter's Girly Ride for a fun, free and fabulous event starting at their Aptos location. There will be breakfast, Trek bike demos, bike skills clinics for Beginners and a ride at Soquel Demonstration Forest for Intermediate and Advanced riders followed by a BBQ and raffle back at the shop.
This will be a unique format this time to accommodate various skill levels and locations. Please select your RSVP ticket accordingly in the Eventbrite RSVP. AFTER your get confirmation of your RSVP, if you are interested in demo-ing a bike, please email Candice Covello at Epicenter at firstname.lastname@example.org. Demo's will be on a first come, first served basis.
Please select your spot carefully, as space will be limited. The ride in Demo is best suited for strong intermediate and advanced riders as there is a lot of climbing in and out of the trails as well as technical terrain.
BEGINNER – 20 slots available for beginner riders to participate in skills clinic taught by Velocity Bike Park followed by a ride on Nisene single track to practice skills.
INTERMEDIATE – 10 slots for an intermediate riders in Nisene.
ADVANCED – 15 slots for advanced riders to self shuttle to Demo – we will park at Highland Way to ride in and out.
INTERMEDIATE+/ADVANCED – 15 FREE shuttle slots for intermediate+/advanced riders - First 15 women to register get a free shuttle up with Shuttle Smith Adventures. Riders will get shuttled TO Demo and will be picked up at the Highland Way parking lot to be shuttled back to Aptos.
POST RIDE BBQ - Anyone who attends is invited to the post-ride BBQ. But, if you were unable to join the rides, but want to join the party - you can RSVP for this too!
8am: Everyone - Breakfast (fruit, bagels, coffee, juice); Trek demo bike set up and pick-up
9am: Clinic and/or RIDE!
Noon-2pm: Everyone - BBQ from Aptos Street BBQ back at Epicenter Cycling with awesome raffle at 1pm and great shopping deals.
