When I arrived in Santa Cruz, I wanted to try my hand at mountain biking.  I dragged my dusty, ancient hard tail mountain bike out of storage and attempted a few rides on the local trails.  But I had never learned basic technique and quickly found myself struggling.  To build my skills, I attended the Dirt Series women’s mountain bike camp – it was the best thing I could have ever done for my mountain biking. I only wish I had found them a decade earlier!

I finally bought a new bike, attended two more camps and started getting better. However, I really wanted to find other women to ride with. I had trouble finding a consistent group where I could ride with other women at my level.  So, I accidentally started this little Girls Rock group. Now, I get to ride with hundreds of my favorite female mountain bikers!

By day, I was the General Manager and Executive Vice President of Bell Helmets and Blackburn Accessories. Currently I am the Vice President / Vista Outdoor / Outdoor Recreation Division located at the CamelBak headquareters.  I am fortunate to get to combine my work with my personal passion of riding bicycles!
