Girls Rock Ride on April 8 – All Levels Welcome!
Hosted by Bay Bikes, Starts at Ft. Ord
Join us for an ambitious ride on Saturday, April 8 from the Ft. Ord Creekside Terrace Trailhead at the Reservation Road entrance.
Note the updated meeting location. Creekside will give us access to restrooms and picnic tables, but it features steep climbs out of the gate! This promises to be a big day for all levels of riders.
Also, this is a self-supported ride. We will tailgate post-ride! Please pack a cooler with drinks, munchies and things to grill (we will provide the heat)
Bay Bikes has a very limited quantity of Giant full suspension demo bikes available to reserve for a fee. Reservations are a must: Call 831-655-BIKE (2453) or email them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll follow our usual format, breaking into groups by ride level and leaving in waves. For info on ride levels, see our Ride Levels page. For this ride, MORCA-affiliated ladies familiar with the local trails will help guide us. Visit their website and enter huge raffle fundraiser to help say thank you!
We'll roll out to the trails by 10am, where you can expect between 2-4 hours of shred time depending on your Ride Level (see our Ride Levels page for details on mileage, skill, etc.). Earn your calories, then regroup back at the trailhead for tailgate fun!
Girls Rock will give away some awesome Bell, CamelBak and Fox schwag. Clif Bar will bring delicious pre-ride nutrition. After the ride, stay and tailgate (BYOB & munchies). And then make tracks over to Bay Bikes where they will offer 10% off instore purchases to Girls Rock, good on 4/8 only!
